Telkom decided to come and install ADSL yesterday, abut now i dont know how to apply the router settings to my MACbook.... Anyone know how? or anyone know anyone that knows how?

Last I checked, if you have a router, you just plug the macbook in and it'll work, assuming the router has DHCP enabled.

i dono hey... i have been fiddling around with settings for hours now, and nothing has happened, there is a red light where it says internet on the router

1) have you entered your router configuration settings (using your internet browser)
2) have you signed up with a service provider yet

1) You sign up with an internet provider and get a username and password from them.
2) You plug in the router and turn it on.
3) You connect your computer to the router with a lan cable and turn it on.
4) You open a browser window and log into the router address usually 192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.2
5) Enter the routers admin username, usually admin and password usually admin (check your manual)
6) Then go through the router settings and enter the username and password your ISP gave you into the PPPoE section of the router.
7) Save and reboot the router and Bob's your uncle.
