This is an urgent warning for all webmasters.
Ask your ISP immediately to start supporting Telkom's Spacestream otherwise you'll being left out on a handful of potential visitors.
Above joke of the year was inspired by a client that send the following to me. (He want to move his website from Telkom to us)
Thanks, please don’t forget to check Spacestream with Telkom as they are saying that most service providers can not service satellite
The truth is that NO ISP or website in the world supports Spacestream (as Telkom put it) simply because it is not necessary.
Spacestream don't have ANYTHING to do with any website or web hosting provider.
It is just a CONNECTION to the internet and therefore have nothing to do with anything else. (Just like dialup or ADSL, cellphone or whatever connection to the internet)
Clearly that Telkom guys either don't know what they are talking about or tried to mislead you to keep your business.
(I received in fact an email from Telkom Internet ADMINISTRATOR about year ago asking me to please help, he don't know how to do something - It was a common thing that most ISP's perhaps more than once on a daily base)
I feel like starting to curse without stopping until next year.
How the SH... can idiots like that comes away with murder. Their service is bad but yet they charge R1014 for something that actually cost R60, almost everybody else around R100 - R200 but yet they still have clients that are happy to pay.
