Can a urologist deny someone treatment, if so does anybody know of a urologist on the Westrand who is willing to help my sister, she is on Discovery Keycare

Yes they can. If she is willing to pay cash then they’ll treat her.

I think you mean “how is **** is keycare that a private, non-network specialist won’t accept it”

Wow...can't believe so many people think a urologist only assists men.

Go to PTA Urology Hospital. Dr Bongers are very good

Try
Dr van der Walt at Wilgeheuwel, even though you pay cash first and claim back he was pretty reasonable at R1200 a consult.

Yes, why wouldn't they be able to? The question is why, if you owe them money for previous visits or they don't accept your medical aid, then yes.

Although a doctor has the right to choose his/her patients, such choices may never amount to unfair discrimination and emergency treatment may never be refused. Doctors have the duty not to harass patients, colleagues or others on the basis of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race or any (presumed) group characteristic
