US Air Force warns troops on Facebook location features

Good point... latitude amongst others...
who ever would have imagined seasoned soldiers facebooking their loved ones from the battlefield one day and a social media platform being an armies downfall? Opens up a totally new can of worms. 15 years ago, that would have been considered the plot of a wayyy more futuristic movie...
 
WTF are they doing in these "war" zones in the first place? These zones were peaceful until the US troops brought their war there. They deserve every attack they get. :(
 
Imagine the irony... Imagine someone actually goes and writes on his gf's wall and says that we are now stationed about 10miles west of Dishu in the Helmund province, check it out on google maps / earth...

But my quesion is who takes a BlackBerry to war? Lying in bed, late night MXiT with the wife on his BlackBerry, next thing you know, they're surrounded because of his phone...

The risks of new technology... I am sure however with the US government buy in into Facebook that this will be overcome... at least for the USA.
