The United States Department of Homeland Security is working on a new system that will identify individuals who are likely to commit an offence. Documentation was obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Centre, which confirmed the new system, which is dubbed FAST (Future Attribute Screening Technology).

Interesting to see how far the US are with their systems compared to our banking's fingerprint and access control initiatives....

Yep, I wonder how long it will take our Gov institutions to catch on.... Next you will be stopped at Home Affairs doors - 'sorry you can't come in today, you may want to assault someone inside....'

lmfao...

What if you fantasize about beating the **** out of someone after watching a couple of Jackie-Chan movies. I do it all the time. :(

Lol, for obvious reasons something like this should never be put to use.

I'm quite sure the legal system won't allow this to be used to put someone away. It could be used by law enforcers to more closely watch a suspect, but the person would have to commit a crime to actually be convicted of comitting a crime. Heck, you can't even search someone's house with just suspicion.

Its pretty much in place already... Section 215 of patriot act allows govt agents to "search and seizure" (ability to obtain any commercial records about you).

Interesting so now they can do anything to anyone because a system says so.

The system said you intended on doing this/that, you will be locked up without trial and released when the system senses you are longer a threat .

Sounds like a bad road to go down for the people of America.

/input muslim man
/output potential terrorist, arrest

You have to ask yourself. Why is America so attractive for people to move to? How many people leave their place of birth, including possible targets ethnicity / culture wise, to go live there if it's so draconian. Oh wait...

What does your comment have to do with the article?

*Hint*

If the US is a terrible place for Muslim men, why the heck do so many leave Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc etc to live there? A bit odd not?

Dude it was just a joke about a muslim man, it's not odd that people go live in other countries. Many americans choose to go live in the middle east and europe what does that say about america?

There are 50000+ americans living in iraq.
