The Dems have still not made a single gain off a Republican incumbent (the two seats they gained were in new districts in North Carolina that were always going to be Dem holds).

Some moderate Dems are actually blaming the far-left faction of the Dem party like AOC who dominate the media spotlight yet live in safe Dem districts so their craziness is not punished. AOC and her Squad are so out of touch with most Americans, it's all rather hilarious. Yet she continues to talk about a "progressive majority" or some kak.

Democrats were already engaging in rapid-fire finger-pointing about who is to blame for Tuesday’s embarrassing showing, with the private angst likely to spill out into the public in the coming days as the full House landscape becomes known. Several centrist Democrats blamed their more progressive colleagues, saying moderates in Trump-leaning districts couldn’t escape their “socialist” shadow.

Others argued that the DCCC had been far too bullish in seats the party was realistically never going to pick up — citing races such as Arkansas’ 2nd District — while missing the looming disaster in South Florida, where incumbents Shalala and Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell were ousted. Several Democrats said the party operation was not focused on a cohesive, proactive message that went beyond simply opposing Trump, who proved to remain popular in many districts.

And some said DCCC wasted time battling the party's left flank with its contentious policies designed to stymie primary challengers.

An abysmal showing by Democrats in state legislative races on Tuesday not only denied them victories in Sun Belt and Rust Belt states that would have positioned them to advance their policy agenda — it also put the party at a disadvantage ahead of the redistricting that will determine the balance of power for the next decade.

The results could domino through politics in America, helping the GOP draw favorable congressional and state legislative maps by ensuring Democrats remain the minority party in key state legislatures. Ultimately, it could mean more Republicans in Washington — and in state capitals.


By Wednesday night, Democrats had not flipped a single statehouse chamber in its favor. And it remained completely blocked from the map-making process in several key states — including Texas, North Carolina and Florida, which could have a combined 82 congressional seats by 2022 — where the GOP retained control of the state legislatures.

I just don't understand what is wrong about the world now.

people can't differentiate what is right and what is wrong.
may be the end of the world is really coming soon. very very soon.

I'd say China is pretty far right - or how would you classify them?
Is there a single far-left country that has prospered? Extremes don't work well, not in the long run. Balanced dogs are better dogs.

I have a technique. I usually say Viva ANC Viva and I feel better. Maybe you can substitute Viva Dems Viva?

Yes and I predict he will win the crucial swing county of Erie in PA (it's the county in the top left on the NYT map. Shaded light red at the moment but mail-in ballots will push Biden over the top I think).

People are forgetting Biden just didn't push up the margins in Democratic core counties, he's really done well in swing counties in swing states.
