Well, that is a function of when justices die and who is in power at the time the nomination can go forward.

There's nothing wrong with the US system. It is representative on state level.

The United States is not a direct democracy, but a Republic is still a democratic form of government....

Since when has she said that? I mean all her policies involve the state taking control of people's lives, but hey no one in history has ever abused such power AM I RITE?

To follow your logic, what the Republicans did to block Merrick Garland was perfectly legitimate as it was replacing a Republican judge with a Democrat judge.

When the results are confirmed the number of posters will drop by either 25% if Trumpy wins or 75% if Sleepy Joe wins - based on the split of Rep vs Dem supporters here.

It would be a travesty if the Reps didn't stay with us just long enough for us libtards to gloat and enjoy a large cup of shadenfreude.

We will be magnanimous in victory and offer a shoulder to cry on - "There there, never mind" and may even go as far as providing warm milk and cookies for the broken hearted.

Life will go on with one small change - "but the emails :crying:" will be replaced with "but the laptop :crying: "

I won't complain about it, because that is how politics works.

The hallmark of modern liberals is moaning about democracy because sometimes the other guy wins. That is exactly what happened when Trump won in 2016, when Brexit was voted (TWICE), and now with ACB.

It is how democracy works. You can't win all the time. Liberals seem to only like democracy when their candidates win.

Their response was just another form of filibuster, as they knew the adjournment was coming and that they could then use it as an excuse...

I think when Trump wins, this thread will die, but the "US riots" thread will blow up...literally and figuratively.

ANTIFA and BLM ill go absolutely apeshit when Trump wins. But then it's not an election year anymore, so some sculls can literally be cracked this time...bring on the water cannons.

You get that there are 3 branches right?

I know it is a problem with the Democrats who believe the SC should be activists furthering their own goals instead of making sure the Constitution is applied correctly. In that sense ACB is perfect for the role as this will prevent the erosion of the Constitution.

The court packing will just prove that the Democrats do not care about the constitution unless it serves their interests.

I will be here for either ending , plus we got Kanye 24 to look forward to .
If people don't stick around then they will lose street cred in my BB if they try join the next breads for 2024 and beyond.
