US Import Hardware

Well that $240 is roughly R2000, so R870 to cover importing and the hassle is not too bad. You can save yourself a few hundred I guess.

Your comparison doesn't make sense.
New Egg is $239.99
If you import, add vat to it - it not 14% but 15.2%, don't ask me why, it just is
so vat is $36.48
Internal USA shipping $7.59
International remailer shipping costs $60

Total USD $344.06

Exchange Rate is bank selling rate, which is about R0.20 above the actual exchange rate, so if R/$ is 1/R8.1 then you would work on R8.3, so your cost to import this would be R2855.69 BUT you still have to add on the customs clearing fee the shipper charges, about R80, so your grand total is R2935.69

you don't always pay custom especially when most shippers mark it as a gift so you end up paying for the product and shipping only/

you need to get a US post box

google it

then u buy form newegg who ship it to your box then they ship it here

dunno if it works cheaper at the end of the day though

is saving 400 bucks worth the money it will cost should the card die? dont think so

Have been tempted many times to buy from USA/EU/JPN but in the end of the day... what if it breaks? How much will it cost me to send it back and get a replacement?

As much as I hate the prices here, I still buy knowing that I can easily get the product back to the stockest/store. [Ussaly I just send it back to rectron, if it's stuffed I get a new one: :)]

I just bought my stuff from normal stores in the States/Argentina/Korea and nobody stopped me...

Well nobody saw what was in that bag :P
