who watched the men's finals? it was so boring and "unamazing". no down the line shots, no "magic" over the net, to the side shots. nothing, there was nothing.

I get it that the big 4 might just be on the way out but dear god, if this is what is up and coming, then I say move over and let the wonder kids through please.

Didn't watch it. Came on too late but not surprised that Cilic won. He destroyed Berdych and Federer in straight sets. Played scary tennis :erm: Would love to see if he can keep this up.

You mean until he gets nailed for doping again?

That's why I did not watch... he should have been banned for life.

I heard something to that effect on SS Blitz this morning but I honestly had no idea about it. Everyone deserves a second chance. He played well and I think he deserved to win it in the end.

he played well??? sorry but I disagree with you on both players. there is a certain element to entertainment in all sports. and when all you can produce are aces and nothing to follow up with that, then that is not tennis. he will not win another grand slam title that's for sure. neither will that Japanese player.

all these 2 did was hit the ball to each other in the hope that one of them would hit the ball out of play. unlike Federer, djokovic, murray, nadal, all who have talent in their little fingers. they all know how to play the ball with drop shots, down the line behind the player, magic over the net shots etc.

watch this match and you will see what I am talking about. I was glad it didn't go more than the 3 sets it did.

Lol, calm down. I only saw him play the quarters and semis and he played extremely well in those. Don't know what happened in the final but it's pretty clear he was much better than Kei and deservedly won.
