The company that makes it won't allow it to be used for that purpose any more.
They have refused to supply the governments of those states.

Yeah I know but I'm sure the state veterinary services has gallons of the stuff, anybody really gonna miss a litre or two?
 
Firing squad - and have the squad consist of other inmates on death row. that way there is no-one that struggles with feelings of guilt if someone is ever found innocent - as the executioner would also be dead by then.

Give them each one bullet, sealed area with trained marksmen keeping an eye on them.

Not always. Get the length of the rope wrong - and it has happened - and it is a prolonged death as the person slowly suffocates and because the neck is not broken they will fight back.

Firing squad for me.

That would attract court cases both from the maker of the stuff and the general public/special interest groups.
 
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the conventional methods, the chair, hanging, gas. China executes more people annually than the rest of the world put together. Granted they have the numbers. They use firing squad and injection. Even the electric chair is lightning quick (scuse the pun), the first immediate jolt knocks you unconscious and the rest is history.

Yes it may look much more peaceful when the condemned falls asleep on a bed than smoke coming out someone shocked or the dangling hanging body, but flip to the dead one it does not matter.
 
I would say gas them with helium. A quick and relatively painless death. Give them some strong benzos beforehand. Both are very cheap.
 
Perhaps we should put them in an arena with a spear and a sword.

We can sell tickets and souveniers and pick a condemned person to cheer for.

On special days we could take away their weapons and let some lions loose for even more fun.
 
Lions? Too old-school. How about test-prey for Boston Dynamics' Big Dog?
