US to EU

Hey there

Im thinking of playing WoW again but this time i want to goto EU because im sick of the time difference. The problem is that i have the US version of wow. It is updated to 2.3.0 , will it work on EU if i change the realmlist only or would i have to do more ? Some people say i must change the realmlist and then get a EU .exe from some1. Any help would be much appreciated :) thanks
 
Or just find a EU disk and install. And grab the patch files from a friend.
I hope with the next expansion they will release a DVD set which has the full up to date game on it. WoW+BC+WOTLK.
 
I used to play wow on US but decided to migrate to EU for various reasons.

I still play using my US version of the client. I just changed the realmlist.wtf file.
When a patch is released I have to get the US version so I change the realmlist back and then download the patch.
Once I'm patched I just change it back and carry on playing.
 
Firstly you will need a EU CD key...
Then you can try by changing only the realmlist, but I do recomend that you get the EU game version aswell, will make you life easier later on since you have to always upload patches from the US...

Awesome ill give it a go :) The thing is wud i be able to join a SA guild. from past experiences 'top' SA guilds dont want lighties joining hehe. /me waits patiently for patch to download

Our guild on TH is one of the 3 big SA guilds on the server.(Pap en Vleis)
We just started Raiding Kara about 2 weeks ago. Only requirement is being SA. nothing else ;)

Does anyone know what it costs to transfer your toon to an EU realm?

lol, i missed your question yesterday :o

I haven't been on the runs, I'm only lvl 65 close to 66.
I know they did one of the Opera events. Best to ask Starscreamer in game.
he is the one arranging the Kara runs ;)
 
Sigh i was going to play but then i got shutdown because money = :( . have to buy a whole new eu acc and stuff

Any1 wanna swop US for EU ? :P :P :P

That is your best bet ;) Get the UE version and you'll never have issues.
R 200.00 is not that bad :o
