USAASA corruption investigation underway

An investigation into allegations of corruption at the Universal Service and Access Agency of SA has been opened, the Ministry of Communication has said

USAASA is just a money black hole. I have been to a few sites and they are very sad. A whole room set up with nice PCs, network, secured bars, aircons, cabinets, fast internet for years - except they forgot they actually need someone to run the place and maintain the systems. One in Beaufort West I saw had been open for 3 years and a guy on site reckoned it had been used for maybe ten hours in total.

Typical "throw money at it" scenario rather than trying to actually provide a solution. If I think of the budgets we had for some projects vs theirs and how much more that we could have done with half their budget it is actually crazy.
