I pay for a 3gig INTERNATIONAL cap? Where the hell does it state 3 GIG international and Local cap? Local is free? so does it matter if we download 500Gb's????? :confused:

Since no one is asking i guess i'm the one that missed the bus, unless u buy 7 x axxxes acounts ?
 
Guess i should add that i reached 200gb local downloads...
 
max I do is around 5gs.

how exactly do you pull 260gb? pulling @ 55k/s constantly the entire month should surely give you around 150gb?

edited: just re-read I see its 3 diff users using the same account..

I thought that counts towards the cap at the mo' ?

I'm not trying to shoot u down, i wanna know what u know so that i can get my ADSL :p
 
Well i need to know, having 2 mates on my account? Illegal? or not? and What is the limit we can download after we're capped? if any?
 
It is stupid if you just gonna delete it yes, but why do people buy sports cars (or get high speed ADSL)? To go really slow and let your car idle the whole time? If i wanna do something on the net i wanna do it fast and as much as possible, cause i payed for it. Just like that oak from teazers who went like a rocket on our national roads. I am sure it was bloody fun!

And the pleasure cost him quite a few grand.

I have a decently fast car, which will quite easily get to twice the national speed limit when pushed, but I stick to the limits (or to within 10% of them at least). When I want to go fast, I take my car to the racetrack...

Like I said, it's a loophole, and it's being exploited...You're still not helping the case of ADSL in SA by abusing the loophole. Bandwidth is expensive (trust me I know) and by using so much you're not helping our (ADSL customers) cause against Telkom
 
I agree with viceroy on his comments, the guys pushing big numbers are the guys doing tons of warez. with browsing, irc, odd gaming, msn and driver downloads etc, I barely go over my cap.

hard to justify 260gb usage a month.

How does the DSL 3GByte monthly volume cap work?
Once you have exceeded the 3 GByte cap your data will be transported over a restricted international link for the remainder of that month. Telkom will not cut the service or bill for additional usage however the restriction becomes worse towards the end of the month when the customers that do reach their 3 Gigabyte Cap contend for the same restricted bandwidth. The counter is re-set at the beginning of each month. Local traffic is not affected. Telkom are however looking at ways of redesigning the capping system to optimise user satisfaction.


There aint no need to justify 260gb anyhow:)
