sorry if this is a double post but i had a weird encounter yesterday. I was not downloading anything and there is no way that this is possible but according to my statistics on my usage I downloaded 45 gigs in 1 day yesterday on my 384 line. how is that even possible and I was not downloading yesterday. If telkom charges me for this I will not pay cos that is not possible. can someone please explain to me or has someone had the same encounter with them? or is telkom just screwing up as per usual?:mad::mad:

Just a note, with me at least, its all downloaded traffic, not uploaded and no international usage left so that rules out virus's

Wireless hijacking no difference as line not fast enough

Account theft, well I dont know how secure his router is, but...

The fact that strange TI thinks have happened to people over 2 days, and also TI's usage graph page is screwed, according to it 14gb down + 500mb up = 123 gigs.

Heh

EDIT: out of my many phonecalls to telkom the only things I seem to be able to do is 1) email description to abuse, 2) log the fault and get a reference number, that took a few representatives to get a ref #

pc's were pff and only had local usage so skype cant connect even if a pc was on. wireless hijacking not possible as I only have a 384 line so that is not even possible to download 37 gigs in one day. and i have a secure wireless network so telkom screwed up once again. anyone else had the same problem? with the telkom account on local?
