USB big VS small

I think kaisterkai is under the impression that bigger is always better... I've got a Verbatim Tough-N-Tiny and it's lasted longer than all my other flash drives because it's water resistant :D.

That's the one that I've got too. This one hasn't been through the washing machine yet, but I have another regular sized flashdrive that made it through just fine.

So did you test it in the water? I know it'll be stupid to do it on purpose, but was it really water resistance? Because I bought one. But the water could still go through the USB holes.. so it wasn't lol..

Ditto, I have a 2gb flash drive where the unit is smaller than the USB plug! It's all about looking after it...

You mean everytime you have to hold it against the port before the computer can see it? Because I have a friend that has a small one like that.. and something like that happened to him too.. so I was just wondering, maybe the USB was made like that lol.. Like a miss caculation..

Hold it? You plug it in like a normal flash drive.

Well it's like it doesn't really fit into the USB port.. like it's made small or something stupid.. so you must move around and hold it so that the USB head makes contact with the computer..

Like whenever my friends plugs his USB into my computer, the USB becomes unreconised.. so it kind of doens't work.. etc..

Have to agree with reedOsama, you do have some odd threads and your "friends" seem ill informed most of the time...

Sigh, that's because you don't know him.. mm.. once you get to know him.. sigh.. then it'll be another story..

All USB flash drives are water resistant. Think about it: unless there's electricity running through them, what can water do? It's just a bunch of silicon and copper... So long as you dry it out thoroughly afterwards.

I'm still a bit skeptical as I've seen rust occur probably due to some of the circuitry being made of steel. If one is to prevent such from happening it would therefore mean having to crack open their flash drives if they do touch water.
