Matrix has USB car chargers. They come with the whole array of adapters and plugs for all types of laptops and round charger plugs.

I haven't seen any personally, but maybe Makro? Hi-Fi Corp?
I tried searching the Makro site but their search feature is really useless

I managed to get one from Esquire Express shop in Cape Town , I think I paid about bout R 30 for this unit , works well with my HTC Tytan II

Hi does anyone know if this USB car charger in the OP will work on a BB 8520 if I connect the PC usb cable into this car charger?

Is there anything I should know regarding the volts amps etc?

If your 8520 can charge from a USB port on a PC then the car charger will work.

Voltage will be 5V, the current might vary though which would affect the charging time.
