Hi I have a question i have a cheapo media player IS-MP405 it has a female usb connection on it i plugged in a usb stick and it works perfectly now i was wondering could i plug in a Seagate Free Agent Go 2.5" 250gb into it? i just dont want to plug in the drive and something happens to it dont want to wait to rma the unit etc. will it power the drive? if you could help me with this i would much appreciate it

It should work and even if the drive does not receive enough power nothing will get damaged.

Your media player might not read a NTFS format flie system, USB's are usually FAT32.

You may need to format your drive to FAT32 (NB: FAT32 doesn't support files Bigger than 4GB, meaning you cant copy a file that's bigger than 4GB to it)
