I took out an MTN Data contract in October last year and took an E1750 Modem.
I had issues with it, so I sent it in to the service center. It took 6 weeks but they exchanged it for a new one.
I just got it back yesterday, and this one is doing exactly the same thing: When plugging it into my PC it either:
I have tried the stick in 3 different machines - one with Win XP SP2, Win 7 Basic 64bit and Win home premium 64bit. I have also tried it in my 3g router and get the same sort of behaviour.
The chances of 2 modems having exactly the same fault and going to exactly the same customer seem slim. Has anyone experienced similar issues with this modem?
I also have an older E170 which works like a charm in all my machines and the router.
Any advice or help would be appreciated here. I'm at a complete loss.

- Randomly disconnects and reconnects itself repeatedly
- Win 7 returns an error "USB device not recognised"
- After plugging it into several different usb slots it eventually is recognised, and manages a connection.
- During a connection, the USB stick randomly disconnects itself from the PC, and then won't re-connect - this usually requires a restart of the PC.
