USB tethering and mobile hotspot not working

Hey guys,

I have an APN account with Afrihost. Been having some issues with my ADSL line this week, so decided to use this as a backup. It seems like no data is transferred at all when using my phone to either tether or as a wifi hotspot. I know that it's not my phone because it works fine with MTN's APN. Does Afrihost deliberately block traffic when the APN is used as a wifi hotspot or to tether?

Have you set the apn under the tethering header as well. Not just under the normal place.

Nope, where about is that on Android?

Go into Settings, connections, more networks, mobile networks, access point names, then click on the plus sign at the bottom and add the apn you want.

There's no plus sign at the bottom, but I already do have Afrihost added as an access point on that screen. I'm on ICS...
