USB to Ethernet adapter on PS3

Hi all

My ethernet port at the back of my PS3 is a bit wonky so I was wondering if using a USB to Ethernet converter on one of the PS3's USB ports would work?

Anyone here tried it before?

It will not work. Why don't you use wifi?
