hi guys,

wonder if someone can shed some light on this for me...

I have a mate, that wants to add a TV adaptor to his PC.

currently, his house has 2 TV's working off the DSTV box...
it wrks with 1 control, so basically both TV's have to watch same channel....

is it possible to added another TV??? he's got the simple entry level DSTV.

thnks

You can add as many TV's as you want - just need some coax splitters running from the TV-out coax plug on the back of the DSTV unit - but you will still only get 1 channel, and you may need a booster depending on the length of the coax cable from the DSTV box to the PC (less than 5 meters should be fine). This can plug into the aerial-in plug on your PC TV adaptor/card.

Alternatively, if your DSTV box has RCA outputs (yellow/red/white) than run those to your PC TV card.

If you're wanting to add another seperate channel, that is another story - you'll need to get either another singleview DSTV box and pay the dual view access fee, or get a second-hand dualview box and pay the access fee, or a PVR and pay the access fee!
