I'm using a GSM Commander (www.gsmcommander.com) and want to load MTN prepaid by using USD, instead of removing the SIM and loading it via my mobile phone. In the past one used to be able to load it by entering *141*VOUCHER NUMBER# and hitting the OK/Call button, but it does not work anymore and on the prepaid voucher they only give instructions to phone 555 and to follow the voice prompts.
Can anybody confirm if this service is stopped or if an alternative is available. On CellC and Vodacom it still works with *102*VOUCHER NUMBER# and *101*VOUCHER NUMBER# respectively.
The only reason I use MTN is because the prepaid and bundles does not expire if you make 1 call or SMS every 90 days. CellC's airtime expires after 30 days and Vodacoms' SMS bundles expire after 30 days, both useless. Anybody any info about Virgin mobile perhaps?
