Hi,

Bought Ass Creed II for PC, and i hate the controls after playing it on the PS3.

So - is it possible to use the PS3 controller on the PC as a controller if i wired it through the mini-usb to the PC USB? Would the pc pick it up as a controller, or just charge it?

I am guessing it's not going to work, and if it doesnt, which controller works the best for pc gaming that emulates the ps3 controller, logitech ?

Thanks.

I think it will work - ive used my ps3 controller on my mac to play NES and SNES games. Works like a dream.

Hmmm, I know that the wired Xbox 360 Controller works out the box, but getting the PS3 one to work is a bit of a mission.

Check it out here.

Wa Wa Wee Wa.

Thanks!

Edit - oh noes - that method works but its a real pain, you have disable driver signature enforcement EACH time you want to use the controller.

this is me sad.

i use the logitech one on my pc, exactly the same as the ps3 controller ... i even use it on my ps3 sometimes when i have friends over and need an extra controller ... matrix has cheaper versions of this controller so check them out... the logitech is awesom though and plenty of cord lenght too

Just say thanks if it works!

MotioninJoy drives your Playstation 3 controller (Sixaxis or Dualshock 3) on windows. By this way your;Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 as a general game controller with motion sensor and emulate Xbox 360 controller.

Also read this for unsigned drivers.

Yep, I use it to play ps2 games, snes, Mame, and a whole lot of others on my pc. Wrks like a charm. Running the little app to initialize it is not a big deal.
