Its already happening in the townships but 'only' foreign nationals seem to be allowed by the locals. Foreign nationals are allowed to rent a space in the yard where they usually build a shop in that yard and pay the home owner a monthly rent. I'm a South African and I thought let me try and see If i propose the same thing around my area but this time it will be back rooms used and be let out to tenants and the owner will take a certain % of all the rooms occupied or a fixed monthly installment . The people I have approached are not interested.
