Used Nissan Tiida

My sister is looking for a car and I've seen a Nissan Tiida for sale at R69k, it's a 1.8 and it has just over 100k km on the clock.

It's fully specced compared to other cars in that price range, the Figo that she seems so crazy about retails at around that price but does not even have electric windows. What are you thoughts on the Tiida, I know that it's not a good looking car so spare me that one. Anyone here who owns one? where do you get parts besides the dealer, any expensive fixes I need to know about? we wont be buying any aftermarket warranties so I need to know if parts are affordable as well as any known problems.

Criminally underated car! Dull as dishwater but the reliability, value & space is tops. Highly recommend if your sis is *not* looking for a driver's car.

It's ticks all the boxes Ito of features, space, dependability, value, parts, insurance the works.
 
You even get e free bucket to cart around for when you see the reflection of the car in a shop window. Saves you from puking on your seats.

You know what?
I've read your post and it is starting to convince me that the Suzuki Baleno is the 'modern' version of the Tiida.
 
Thanks for the feedback, I went to check the car during lunch time and I am a little disappointed, it looks so good in the pictures but on close inspection it looks like it was in some fender bender at some time and the repair work is shoddy, missing wheel arches, exposed wires and the car looked like it spent most of it's existence driving on gravel roads and exposed to the elements. The interior is top notch though and still in excellent condition, full leather seats and everything you need in a car.

Anywhere why don't you and your sister check out underrated cars something like Nissan Micra. I know it's bit small but I'm sure you guys will fine one in good condition.

When buying second I prefer something less popular, like Honda or like I said Nissan Micra because I know chances of the car being abused are slim.

I've seen a lot of those at very affordable prices, still wondering why they are so cheap though. I am still doing some research on parts, running costs etc, on first impressions looks very decent but I am still unsure as Fiat is a brand that has been with us so long but no one in my circles seems to know much about them.

Thanks, she is more into robust mainstream type of cars, so no Smart car, Spark, Micra or any of those small, funky oddly shaped cars. An old fashioned hatch type like the Figo, Fiesta (old gen) as well as sedan like Chev Aveo, Tiida, Honda Civic or Corolla.
