Grab Netlimiter and install it if you haven't already, and do a screengrab of a typical graph showing the sort of download speed you're getting. I'm sure this will be useful for comparing the different transfer rates and the relative smoothness or jaggedness of these graphs will be useful to see whether the service is stable or not. Here's mine on a good day (Wednesday): http://zefrem.sytes.net/MoneysWorth.gif and on a bad day (today!!! grr) http://zefrem.sytes.net/BunchOfCrap.gif - you can see something has obviously changed, and it's not with my antenna or modem or computer. Earlier in the day I could connect to the authentication server but no TCP/IP traffic could flow. At the very least Sentech needs to put some kind of service quality indicator, per tower, somewhere on their site, even if it's in a "My Account" kind of menu where only us MyWireless contracted people could see it.

for those of you who like this type of thing, this is the type of thing you will like

Today, it seems as if Internet Solutions is having major problems.
Currently I am connected via my 128 ISDN, and have been having problems the entire day..... first connected to JHB POP and now to CPT POP.

Not a good sign - I can't even see these...please tell me I had the wrong URL...on the other hand Darren, I guess " The page cannot be displayed " is a bad day :-)

On vee ovver hand, Zefrem23 may have a regular Sentech tower problem. Or may be offline for whatever reason but its not really good form to post a link that is down. I do agree that it is a great idea but maybe someone should host a page with graphs of the connection. Interesting artifacts can be shown such as over-cap spikes like 20K/sec on a 15K/sec package and uploads of 26K/sec on 128kbps etc
