Mobile GMaps - http://www.mgmaps.com/
or
Trekbuddy - http://linuxtechs.net/kruch/tb/forum/index.php

Both quite functional - Trekbuddy allows me to log a trip, GMaps looked slightly more functional though.

Paired with a bluetooth GPS (or built in probably), this is a decent trip planning tool, but does not currently enable you to do routing. It's functional on enough for my needs, and I got it working for a fraction of the cost of a normal solution (R350 for receiver, and got a K800i already).

They both also enable you to download the maps and store them on the phone, cutting down on unnecessary and expensive GPRS traffic. I've got good resolution satellite images and decent open-streetmap maps on them. Trekbuddy is reliant on offline maps, but MGMaps allows you to cache maps, and download content you don't have with you, should the need arise.

Both can also be used without a GPS, so it's a decent map-in-hand should you need it as well.
