Useless Cell C Customer Service, Not Impressed.

I've had a contract billing problem with Cell C that I've been trying to resolve for around 6 months, eventually I contacted the Cell C Rep here on My Broadband in private trying to resolve the issue, and he/she stopped replying to my messages.

Hopefully by making it public I might actually get a response, and also it'll help some see that just because they hired a comedian and changed their logo doesn't mean half the staff are absolutely useless and lazy.

The Problem.

After my contract was finished I was still being billed by Cell C, unfortunately I only noticed after several months.

I contacted them several times, telling them to cancel it. After being told it has been cancelled, again, several times. I still was billed the following month. I contacted the bank and got the debit order cut off and then I had to start the battle of getting six months of bills I paid refunded.

I contacted Cell C, was given a reference number and was told 'd receive an update. Nothing. I called and quoted the reference number and was told it does not exist. A new case was opened, with a fresh reference number and the same thing happened. (I'm not making this up)

I decided I would look on my trusty MyBroadband.co.za for a forum Rep, which I found easily enough with the help of a forum Moderator, I gave the Rep some details and my wife received a call, she was told a resolution would be provided soon, as was I via Inbox.

Couple of weeks later and ... nothing. So I contacted the Forum Rep asking for an update where I was told that the matter was attended to and has since been resolved. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

What has been resolved? I received no money back, no details whatsoever, just some generic copy pasted semi-sentence.

After sending several follow up messages asking for details and what was resolved I have not received any replies at all- nothing.

Fast forward to now, several months later- A year since I was first over billed I haven't had any resolution at all. It seems Cell C can't put it's money where it's mouth is and spends it all on marketing and advertising.

If anyone can help or give any advice I'd really appreciate it. I'm off to Tell Trevor.
 
thank goodness i took the prepaid data bundle option is all i can say! contracts are not cool and show the worst side of a company.
