Anyone else having a problem surfing to http://www.userfriendly.org/ ? I can't access the web page unless I use a proxy. Simple ping works fine, though.

Proxy server?
So, ping OK, Cape Town web access OK, Johannesburg web access not OK.
Looks like the Johannesburg proxy server strikes again...
My pings:
----www.userfriendly.org PING Statistics----
66 packets transmitted, 66 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 310/359/450
So, ping OK, Cape Town web access OK, Johannesburg web access not OK.

Shame, you poor guys in Joburg. You always have all the proxy problems.
No rapidshare, random sites...
Is it simply because there are so many people and somewhere along the line a Iburst IP gets blocked or uses the rapidshare service etc then noone can use a site?
Or problems with the proxy?

Userfriendly.org is down via ADSL too, so it's not just iBurst.

I can access from Johannesburg using ISDN but not with Iburst.

Which ISP? It may be a common upstream provider that has the problem.

Lo and behold, http://www.userfriendly.org is back again after an absence of two weeks. [Edit: Looks like http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20060805 is still battling, though.]
