Hi Guys,
I have been tasked with moving 100 users to a terminal server environment. The client PC's as a mix of xp to 8.1 and the server is Server 2012 R2. Speed is not as important as accuracy so I have considered the following:
1) Manually dump all the profiles on externals and copy back to the server (pos the simplest way but far to time consuming).
2) Applying a folder redirection policy on the server and having it all happen in the backend (not sure if the local copy of the data will remain in place and many computers are not on the domain (so a profwiz will be required 1st))
3) Writing a little app to handle the transfer to either an external or over the LAN.
Keen to hear if anyone has done anything similar with scale? Thanks in advance!
regards,
ipwn
