I need some guidance please, I have setup the hotspot on eth5, configured the DNS and installed usermanager https the works.

Everything works as in I connect to the Wifi (AP on eth5) and the browser opens up automatically and a user is asked to sign into my network (pre-configured account in userman)

And login works great

Here is the problem: I read this https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager/4/User_Signup and proceeded to setup the signup page.

The issue is now that the hotspot is hot.spot (static route) so when someone signs into the wifi the browser automatically goes to https://hot.spot/login (192.168.0.1)

It seems you can only access the sign up page by using the routers IP address and not the hotspot? What am I doing wrong?

https://hot.spot/user/signup - does not work

https://routerIP/user/signup - This does work on the lan network, but this does not work for hotspot users (different IPs)

Here is my IP setup

If you need more info, let me know. All help appreciated, quite a different world compared to my unifi system.

Okay so typing this out it seems:

1. The hotspot web server is completely independent from the User Manager web server.
2. If the hotspot and User Manager are configured to run on the same internal hotspot gateway IP then the User Manager pages WILL NOT be accessible without login from the hotspot network.
3. The User Manager pages (Signup, userman, etc) can only be accessed from the hotspot network given the following conditions are true:
3a. The User Manager router (/tool user-manager router) and the Radius client (/radius) are set on any IP other than the one the hotspot is using (i.e. random private IP on loopback).
3b. A walled garden IP entry is added to the hotspot to allow access to the User Manager IP without login (/ip hotspot walled-garden ip)

In my case, I cadded a walled garden entry to loopback IP, and added a link to the signup page to the hotspot login page.

Doner I love this.
