Username reuse or Account sharing: ISP common thing?

Can't remember account sharing or username reuse being as much from any ISP I've used before and I've used them all except cybersmart.

Is this a common thing?

Imagine developing an application which has financial implications and you reuse the usernames... lekker lekker... text storage?

Perhaps I should add this feature tomorrow in one our primary systems as I'm sure it will get business approval...

Are you still on this username? If so, please PM me your details so that I can see what the problem is.

Usernames do go into a recycling pool for re-use, therefore it will be possible that you could have used this name in the past. However, if you and another client is assigned the same username right now, there is a problem that needs to be investigated.

Nope. Only Openweb shares accounts. All other ISPs allow you to specify the name of your account and the password.
If you have problems, that account is re-used, they dont keep throwing accounts at you until one works.

I do remember sometime in the AH BU thread that allegedly you could connect more than once to one of their business accounts. I have however not checked this myself...

Another question to ask;
How many ISPs give you another user name to use if you complain about connectivity issues.
