Hi people

I'm in the market for a new tv.Sadly i can only afford 54 - 74cm tv options.
Given my limited choice what's the feasibality of using a 22" monitor as a tv,with dstv of course. Also how do i connect the decoder to it?For me (now) size don't matter but is this a good way to go?

thanks

I've been following the lcd threads but can't find anything there.

What inputs does your monitor have at the back? which decoder do you have?

Currently still have the 933,i can get another one if needed.

Haven't bought a monitor yet but it looks most just have pc connectors.I thought of using a 22" as a dedicated tv as i still live alone.

thanks for reply

yeah, you'll have a problem with the connections. You might need to buy a TV/PVR card and use your pc as a middleman to do this. If you have a DSTV PVR and can find a monitor with a s-video input, you can make something work, maybe.

I see Hificorp does a 32" sinotec LCD TV for R5800 now.

KWORLD/V-Stream makes an External "LCD TVBox". You can connect any LCD or CRT to it, and "viola" a TV, i have one.

Compro has a similar one, the V600 I think. it has RCA inputs for your Xbox. PS2 or Wii as well.

Hi. I can get you a stand alone TV tuner for monitors @ R350 from Mecer if you like.
