hi guys,

I have copied modified a script that uses wvdial to get on the net using a 3g card. I use the ADDT*99***1# string to dial.

For those of you who may have done this too, does it work overseas on the same string too or does it need to be modified?

According to the lady I spoke to at vodacom you use the same number, but it asks you to select a network or something - obviously this would not work with my script.

Anyone have a clue? Obviously there may not be a lot of you.

Hey Belial,

If you look on my posts for the Linux stuff you will see there is a command to select the network, use that if you must, but iirc, the sim will default to the first roaming network it can.

I have used this in the past and it does work :)
