Would it be possible to use a cdma2000 cellphone to connect to the neotell network? Are there cellphones currently out that can do that?

If I could connect to the neotell network with a cellphone instead of the bulky wireless telephone then neotell might become my new "cellphone" operator.
But this then raises a further question of whether multiple devices on the same account will be possible?

Surely it would have to be possible - what if you wanted more than one phone in your house?

Are there any ICASA approved CDMA cellphones available in SA?

It might seem logical but they might decide not to set it up in that way. What that implies is that extensions would be dumbed-down handsets that uses the main phone as a gateway of sorts, similar to the cordless telkom phones.

If I remember correctly, they will lock your phone to 1 tower. So I doubt it if you will get a non neotel phone to work in the first place. If you do get it to work you will be restricted to your area.
