So my friend got his iPhone 4s today from Vodacom Direct sales, he doesn't intend on using the business call sim card as he wants to pay the minimum price which is R299 on business call and nothing more. He wants to rather use his prepaid number which he has been using for the past 6 years, now the prepaid sim is MTN. If he uses that will it void the 1 year warranty as he will be using an MTN sim on a Vodacom phone. Or can he migrate his prepaid MTN sim to Vodacom prepaid and keep his number?

Thanks

I'm not sure of the specifics surrounding the iPhone warranty (ie if Apple carries it or Vodacom does) but the simple solution would be to just insert the vodacom sim once a month and send or receive a sms or phone call. That way the phone is registered as being used on the vodacom network.
