I always use Edge/GPRS when using my pda for the internet. How do I start using a data bundle and is it really cheaper. I am on contract.
Also if I want to use my phone as a modem will the data bundle be worth it? Can I use the data bundle while roaming?
dunno if my question makes sense but I see everyone advertisingdata bundles and thought I'd find out.

Hi,

Yes, you can use it in your PDA. I am using a prepaid sim in mine (Cell C sim because their data bundles are the cheapest). It works out way cheaper. You can also use it when roaming and you can use it to connect to the internet from a PC when you use the PDA as a modem.

but if I am on contract and I buy a bundle, will the data not be charged to my contract but will come from my bundle? I only have 1 sim

The data should first come from your bundle, once that is depleted it will be charged to your contract.

so this is a once off cost- say I buy 300MB of data will it last for 3 months? Also can I buy it without calling the call centre like via sms?
