Using data card without having to change work proxy details all the time

How do I use my data card without continuously having to change the proxy setting on my work laptop? OS is windows 7. Browser is IE7 and i also use Firefox.

When at work i need to use the proxy to connect to the net through the browser. When at home using the data card i have to change the settings on the browser to use no proxy.

How can i change this so it automatically chooses the appropriate method for connecting to the net? Does firefox have any plugin/add on that i can use?

Hi There,
Normally IE will automatically detect the proxy so I would try that in the work environment first.
If not then you could look at using IE7 at work and FireFox at home.

I don't know of any other way to automatically change it but there are cleverer people than me on this site who might have a better solution.

I prefer to only use one browser for everything - and that would be firefox.
