I've got a E620 data card with MTN sim card which I've been using in my laptop to connect to the internet. The laptop died and my new laptop doesn't have PCMCIA.

I don't want to now have to buy a USB modem. Can I put the sim card in my nokia N85 phone, connect it to the laptop via the USB data cable and connect to the internet?

I've tried it - loaded the nokia pc suite but can't seem to get it working? Is this do-able?

Yes. Install the latest version of Nokia PC Suite, select PC Suite mode on the phone when you connect the USB cable, create a new dialup connection in Windows to number *99# and choose the "Nokia N85 USB Modem" as modem.

Thanks for the reply. Found the answer just after I posted the message. Funny how that always happens :)

Reinstalled the PC suite and this time the modem drivers installed. In pc suite I now select connect to the internet and off it goes and connect!!

Awesome!!
