Hello

I wish to use my iBurst modem's Ethernet port to connect to the internet instead of the USB port I currently connect my home PC with.

I also want to add in a Wireless Access point (I have a Netgear WG102) so that I can connect my notebook to the LAn and Internet too.

Any suggestions/assistance for me?

Cheers

hehe, well u plug the modem into the router's modem port, the desktop into one of the router ports and set up the wireless network on the router so that u can connect with the notebook. dunno if thats the kinda info u looking for?

Ha Ha guys - yes the joke's on me, LOL etc

One of my brain cells did tell me to connect the AP, PC and iBurst modem to my switch, but I cannot connect to the internet using the ethernet port.

What settings do I change etc?

That wireless AP is just that, an AP, no router to automatically connect to the internet. This switch you have would also not be a router then? It would make everything easier if you have a wireless router...

Yeah I realise my mistake now... Can I share the internet connection on my PC?

What is the best router to buy for iBurst then?

Hi AntonD

No need to waste money and buy a router ...

1. Connect Iburst modem to AP
2. Connect pc to ap wirelessly
3. Create a PPPOE connection of your PC
4. setup internet connection sharing on your pc

Ja, he basically has a router in a bunch of small parts, but then his PC has to stay on for the connection to work wirelessly.
