Using IP Cop as a smarthost for exchange server 2003

Hie guys

I need you experiance and opinion on something , is it advisable to run a third party package on an IP COP box to act as a smarthost spam filter for an exchange 2003 server ?? , or can i use packages like ClearOS to achieve the Firewall and Smart host function for an exchange server 2003

Explain what you mean by "smarthost spam filter"?

You'll usually want to check incoming mail for spam, while a smarthost has to do with outgoing mail.
