I know i'm new to these forums, but i've been keeping track with all the good and bad posts for the last 2 months since we joined IBurst.

I purchased IBurst with the intention of using it as my sole carier or portal to the outside world. I do not own a phone connection, and we are a bunch of students staying inside a flat. So money isn't an abundant issue as it is for most people around here?

IBurst has a channel on Ethereal, and Sihen is there on a regular basis, he doesn't answer much but he's there.

Why can't we have a discussion with the people @ IBurst about our problems in there? We can't always wait to hear from our ISP (WBS) the moment they decide it?

I truely appreciate some peoples efforst, namely Shaun that partakes in these forums and if you can get a hold of Sassan these two gentlemen have proven themselves very helpfull, but not always as informed as they should be, and rarely come back to us. Seeing a post by Shaun is becoming a holy grail effect, but I can say we truely appreciate it, so please keep it up.

As for the network problems we have been experiencing, why can't we have one post of what's going on? Why is no one at IBurst making a statement, and why is it being kept so hush hush?

I would like to ask Shaun to maybe arrange a date and time that we can all talk to him on the IBurst IRC channel? I'm sure a lot of people would like to ask him questions, and we can log these and post them on the Forum so that other people can be informed of what is going on.

Just my 2 cents.

Thx

Quick and dirty answer : Cause iburst fear using technology. They're old school. They still believe in handling things over the phone and meeting people face to face. These forums (Shaun Green participates sometimes) were a first to him, he probably would have gone, "what the **** is the internet!?" if it werent for WBS trying to get into this market.

So leave them be, hulle wil mos sukkel, laat hulle sukkel

I don't have the luxury of phoning every day, if they can send an e-mail about my b/w usage, and when there is a network maintenance, they can surely send me an e-mail about why my connection isn't going well? And what they are doing to sort it out?

If Sihen can use IRC, he can train one Help Desk person to man it on a constant basis, to inform us of what is going on. Since I haven't even received an invoice from the launch date, although they took my money already.

Dont sell some people short . They may know more than what u think

people that work for WBS that are in the IRC chan are ussually only active thier when they're off the clock, so you can't expect them to be your personal support service 24/7. It's probably better to use IRC to talk crap and maybe discuss problems with the other iBurst customers, just like myADSL
