Using multiple ISP accounts on a single ADSL modem

Hi all,

I need some advise on the best way to achieve the following:

I have a D-Link DSL-2750U (Telkom) ADSL router and have 2 different ISP account.
One account (15GB WebAfrica capped) for gaming and another (Telkom 2mbit uncapped) account for leeching.
At the moment, I have a saved router config for each of the ISP accounts and need to load the appropriate saved router config when switching between ISP account.
My Win7 pc connects via ethernet to the ADSL router and my phone connects via Wifi....
All is working fine at the moment.

I have considered setting up my ADSL router in Bridge Mode and then create 2 different PPPoE dialup connections - In a similar way how multiple computers connect to the internet with their own ISP account when they share a single ADSL line and modem.

My only concern will be: How will my phone connect to the internet via Wifi?
Currently my ADSL Router is authenticating and therefore my phone's Internet Traffic will default via the internal routing of modem.

My logic tells me that if the modem no longer "internally" authenticates and merely acts as a Access Point for other PPPoE connection from my pc, then devices such as my phone won't have internet access even though it may be connected to the wifi interface of the ADSL router?

Any advise and feedback is welcome.

Half bridge mode. One account in router, others dialled on PCs.

PPPoE + LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING + Bridge PPPoE Frames Between WAN and Local Ports.

Was just searching to do this as well with the same router.

Is it possible to have both ISP accounts setup in the router and have certain traffic/protocols/devices routed over a certain connection by the router. I have two smart TVs with static IPs both running Netflix. Can the router direct traffic from TV 1 over connection 1 and TV 2 over connection 2.

I have a 10mb line and a 4mbs uncapped TI account and a 4mbs uncapped FNBConnect account. The FNB account is free due to my ebucks discount level.

You will need an expensive router to do that. My suggestion is leave the uncapped account on the router and then dial up from your PC with your capped account as PostmanPot advised. If you're stuck you can Google "PPPOE connections from windows 7" - or what ever operating system you're using. If you still need some help, PM me and I'll help you out.

(Certain routers you will have to enable PPPOE connections from within the network)

Also remember, even if you do this, your ADSL line only handles x number of connections and doesn't share bandwidth equally between connections.

We had a half-bridge setup at a house I rented with a couple of friends. If 1 of them torrented on their own ADSL account, the other suffered with lag and couldn't do much (or got really sub par speeds)

Some routers handle many connections a lot better than others.

Thanks for the info thus far.
I stream audio and watch a lot of Youtube videos on my phone.
Wouldn't it be better if I configure my ADSL router with my Telkom uncapped account? That way my phone default to my Telkom uncapped account and not chow the precious data of Web Africa capped account.

My pc would then do a PPPoE dial-up session with my Web Africa capped account while I do gaming. When my gaming session is over, I could disconnect the PPPoE dial-up session. If I understand the half-bridge setup, it seems that the PPPoE dialup session would "override" the internet connection provided by the ADSL router and become the default connection?

Spot-On.! ;)

All good! Works like a charm. My router is setup with my upcapped account and I dialup with my capped account when I game :-)

Many thanks for all the guru assistance.
