Is there anyone that is currently using the Rain 5G service outside the coverage area and how far are you from the nearest area that has 5G coverage?

Your information would be very much appreciated by many who are still outside the coverage area.

Would not recommend, 5G is not as "strong" as 4G which means you are likely to meet the 80Mbps requirement outside their coverage. I'm about 500m inside the updated coverage map and I only get 200Mbps.

Hi , I am currently using Rain 5G outside the coverage area. I fall short of the coverage area by around 350 meters or maybe more. My download speed is between 200mb and 210mb. The signal bars on the modems user interface shows 4 bars.

@iPWN that is a very valid point made. In my case i was lucky i took a chance and ordered the 5G router and Sim using my work address which has full 5G coverage. However when i tried to activate the sim at work i could not get a speed over 80mb which is needed to activate the sim. I found this very strange as my work address is bang center of the coverage map. I then decided to just utilize the modem for my uncapped telkom sim at home. Just out of curiosity i decided check if i have coverage at home as i fell short by around 350meters or more based on the Rain coverage map. To my surprise the modems 5G light came on. On my first test i got 90mb download, with moving the modem around i then got 180mb and then finally the best i was able to get was 210mb
