ok so i got axxess local, and telkom 1 gig.
i use these in route sentry, so when my local runs out can i put my telkom account in place of the axxess to use the free local i get, and then use another prepaid account for my international.

so is it a matter of just swapping them around,, cause i have a feeling my route sentry does'nt does'nt connect when i do that,,,

Um.

Start of Month:
1 : Telkom 1GB = International Connection.
2 : Axxess Local = Local-Only Account
...Time...
- Telkom 1GB is all used up on the international side.
- You purchase another account for International ... e.g. Axxess 1 GB Shaped.
- You create another RASPPPOE connection called Axxess International, and put the above account details in it.
- Now you change RouteSentry:
1 : Axxess International = International Connection.
2 : Axxess Local = Local-Only Account
...Time...
- Axxess Local-Only is all used up.
- Now you can use the original Telkom 1GB for local only.
- Now you change RouteSentry:
1 : Axxess International = International Connection.
2 : Telkom 1GB = Local-Only Account

So ... it's not technically a swap, cos you still need to have something to replace the missing international account when the teklom 1GB runs out.

If you only have local-only access remaining (You do not buy more international), then you just connect using one of them there is not need to use routesentry, routesentry is only useful when you have both accounts that can provide local-only as well as international at the same time.

There's just one thing when doing this, (when getting capped, start of next month will be similar but with respect to different accounts) that is you need to go into Route Sentry and make sure that none of the "Automatically reconnect ..." boxes are checked, then manually disconnect the Axxess local account. Next, select the TI account from the drop down for local, select you international prepaid account from the drop down for international, and then you can re-check (if you use them) the boxes which say "Automatically reconnect ..." and then "Save Changes".

This is usually the case when RASPPPoE has been set to (only) 2 "WAN Endpoints", so it may not always be applicable :)

wait,,,,,in route sentry,,, i got 2 connections. the top connection i use axxess local..underneath that i use my telkom. so i got my local and my international..sweet

now when my local runs out. can i take my telkom accounts username and passpord and replace it where the local was and then carry on using that account for its local. and use my axxess international to replace my telkom,

to me its the exact same thing just that the accounts are swopped around, but because the telkom account will still have a little international on it,, will route sentry pick it up as the local account, or should i finish it first under the international before i change it over to use its local

oh and my axxess local is prepaid,, so when its finished its finished

If you have 1 account, close routesentry and dial the 1 account yourself manually.
But, if you reaaaallllly still want to use routesentry for 1 account, change both dropdowns to the same account, no need to go editing stuff.

Route sentry does not "pick up" anything as the local account or anything like that.

The account you select as the local account gets the local traffic.
The account you select as the international account gets the international traffic.

That's all it does.

no i dont want to edit anything, i just want to know if its possable to use my telkom local in place of the axxess one
