Using Telkom Mail in Australia

Hi,

I have a problem setting up my Telkom mail when I'm doing business in Australia. When staying in a hotel and using their internet connection, I can't send any mail. I can recieve mail though. Is there a different smtp address I need to use or might it be that the hotel is blocking certain ports needed to recieve mail?

I have tried using a smtp server on that side, but it didn't work. Please, will be much appreciated.
 
Hmm, I tried using the hotel's smtp server details but when I tried to use that it just failed :-( The problem is there is no way for me to try this out before I go over next week. Maybe they gave the wrong details the first time. Thanks, will try this out.
 
Sorry, but why the hell do you use telkom for your email account?? Switch over to Gmail, your life will be a lot easier.
 
I know yeah,but its company policy to use the companys mail and theyre to hard headed to switch over to anything else.
