Hi ppl

I currently have a billion router 7402VGO which works beautifully as im running a VPN between Josies n Durbs. Recently i set up a VoIP service between the 2 branches but need to know how to connect that VoIP line to my Pbx system. I know it's possible jus dont have a clue about Pbx systems. I would really appreciate the help

Thanks

Moe!!

Glad your one of the sane people that did not go Skype.

A few ways:
1. Connect voip box FXO to extension on your pabx. dial said extension gives you VOIP dialtone and off you go.
2. Connect voip box FXS to CO line (same place Telkom analog line would go) on your pabx and dial access code for the CO line to get VOIP dialtone.
3. Connect voip box FXS to CO line on your pabx and setup least cost routing to automatically select the VOIP CO line for appropriate numbers. (may require pabx supplier to configure it for you)

But it depends if your voip box has a fxs or fxo connection on it as to which one you can use. See http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/FXO
Also sometimes what these combo boxes call FXO is not full FXO and may not do the trick for #1 above.

Anyone who wants a more flexable solution that can handle more lines should look at using Asterisk.

I have a Telkom PBX system at my place, does anybody know how to open the ports?
