Hey, as all of you (or some) know I am on 192k with the uncapped uunet account, thought I'd try my hand at torrents (first needed to figure out how the fck they work, lol) and I must say, I get a pretty steady 12-16kb/s with this.

I can't see what all the fuss was about. Oh, and to please killadoob, I also got myself a 1 month SAIX account (with a 10 gig cap) and it preforms more or less the same as the UUNET one, except now for the pings overseas (which is worse) and the pings to local game servers (specially those on the saix network) but coming from a 100ms-2039458ms ping time, I'm pretty happy with my stead 34ms-70ms ping I get (depends what games I play)

I even hooked up my PS2 to my router and enjoyed a couple of games of NFSU2 online. No lag at all. Definately upgrading ASAP. :)

When Telkom implements its local capping I'm probably going to be glad I stuck with them.

simons, the new PS2 Slimline has a network point (and infrared) built into the unit. I have the Netgear DG834G ADSL Modem Router, I've setup DHCP on my router. Then all I do is configure the network point on my PS2 to use DHCP.

The rest is as easy as selecting "play online"

well their good service and ping are because there network has lost alot of users from the sounds of it is alot better which is great for ppl using it

if you getting 70ms on local that is ok still around 40ms lower than saix but doesnt make much diff
