Well, I'm getting one.

Done more homework & reasons I "need one":

It's actually a type of Microsoft Terminal Server connecting to their proxy servers. You effectively have a browser running on their servers. It's Internet Explorer so supports everything. In the US there's a $10 a month charge, here it is free. I can do just about anything via IE, including office apps (Google) and MSN.

I'll primarily leave it in the car for when I need web access on the go, my phone's screen is just to small (and another year on contract).

And I don't have one.

That makes sense ... so it is similar to Onspeed
