The position details are as follows:
The position is for GPON help desk Engineers. They will primarily be responsible for the 2nd/3rd level support calls received from CMC (call centre) 1st support guys. They will deal with escalated calls etc. They will also capture, configure and deploy new customer configurations and kit to the White Label Partners.
Their secondary task will be Junior Network Engineers for the Fibre Broadband product and to manage the support calls, and thirdly to provide basic support for our Layer 2 Metro Ethernet products (E-Line, E-Lan, E-Tree and E-Access) and the the new SDH and FC capabilities when the network is upgraded in August.
Must possess the following behavioural skills:
- Analytical skills
- Problem solving skills.
A minimum of 2-3 years relevant or similar work experience is non negotiable. We are based in Midrand.
